Objective: We launched ScottishPower in June 2019 with targets of delivering 500 services per month, which was 43% higher than their previous network had ever achieved.
Solution: Launching an energy brand into the affiliate space during the summer months is by no means an easy task Vs target. However, after 4 months of live activity, October saw us hit the perfect formula with regards to CPA, offers, and price. We began delivering sales beyond the set targets by flexing rates and implementing strategic campaigns at specific season times.

Results:

1. Regularly ranking within the top 3

Since 2019, the energy market has matured greatly, particularly in the affiliate space. We have led ScottishPower to the top of the Gas & Electricity category consistently on key affiliate sites.

2. Exceeded targets set

A combination of cashback affiliates, other incentivised campaigns and bespoke partnerships saw the ScottishPower Gas & Electricity campaign consistently achieve over 2000 services per month, resulting in a year end target exceeded by 24%.

3. Added more campaigns

The ScottishPower Gas & Electricity campaign has gone from strength to strength, with ScottishPower launching further products with us, including Boiler Care, Boiler Insurance, Electric Vehicle, and more.

Discover Cars
Objective: Having worked with Discover Cars for a number of years, in 2022 we were targeted to deliver an average of 500 customer Car Hire bookings per month over the year.
Solution: We re-invested our margin into tenancy so that seasonal peaks could be maximised. On top of Car Hire bookings, we worked with Discover Cars to also incentivise affiliates and customers by paying commission for “Add-ons” such as Full Cover Insurance. Although this wasn’t targeted, we saw that between 45-55% of customers chose to include an additional product such as Full Cover Insurance when booking their Car Hire. This up-sell was of significant commercial benefit to Discover Cars.

Results:

1. Exceeded targets set

We successfully averaged 528 bookings per month (excluding add-ons such as insurance), maximising seasonal peaks May - August with April seeing the highest number of bookings at 945.

2. Achieved non-sale related targets

Throughout 2022 we delivered in excess of the Car Hire bookings target for Discover Cars, as well as achieving non-sales related targets such as number of affiliates delivering sales, to reduce the over reliance on bookings delivered from cashback affiliates.

Comet
Objective: Comet launched with us in November 2022 and since then we have worked closely with their team to re-introduce the brand as a significant contender within the online electrical market.
Solution: We initially launched with a low, flat commission rate but quickly optimised the campaign with strategic promotions that challenged market-leading competitors and saw huge spikes in both traffic to site and new customer acquisition. We worked closely with deal partners to generate regular bursts in sales and to contribute to their brand awareness, helping Comet to be positioned as a competitive retailer within the market.

Results:

1. Increased sales and traffic

Through optimising the campaign, we were able to create competitive headline rates which resulted in a 280% increase in sales. We continue to see a month-on-month increase in traffic and sales.

2. Introduced new affiliate types

We have introduced Comet to a wide range of new affiliate types, including CSS and comparison. This enables their campaign to reach new customers they weren’t able to previously.
